STATEMENT 2024
I AM CURRENTLY FOCUSED ON THREE SUBJECTS: PORTRAITS, GUNS, AND WAR.
THE MAJORITY OF MY WORK IS OIL ON LINEN OR CANVAS, BRASS TACKED TO STRAINERS, WITH A TRADITIONAL FOUNDATION OF OIL PRIMER OVER RABBIT SKIN GLUE. I WILL SOMETIMES MAKE PREPARATORY SKETCHES TO WORK OUT A COMPOSITION OR TO CREATE A TRANSFER DRAWING. I USUALLY DO A LOOSE UNDERPAINTING IN RED OR GREEN BEFORE BLOCKING IN AND WORKING THE PAINTING TO COMPLETION.
